I love West Volusia!
It has been my family's home since 1974. Ed and I raised our two sons here. They attended
Volusia County Public Schools and they continue to live here and call our community home.
Our youngest granddaughter Morgan started Kindergarten this year at Enterprise Elementary,
the same school that her Dad attended. Our family has a deep and solid commitment to this
part of the county.
Working together we have been moving our corner of the county forward in a quality way. It
has been my honor to work with you on projects that have positively impacted our quality of
life here in Southwest Volusia; SunRail; Thornby Park; The Deltona Amphitheater; the
Spring-to-Spring Trail and the Rail Trail; DeBary Bypass and the widening of Howland Blvd.
As your Council Member, I have been working on projects that will grow our economy and
create jobs on this side of St. Johns River Bridge. From funding for a business Incubator to
a Local Preference Ordnance to approving transportation corridors that move people and
goods, we are changing the economy in Volusia County for the better.
Taxes have been reduced and County government is a smaller and more efficient organization.
We have consolidated services to save you money while maintaining services levels for
you the taxpayer.
Our corner of the county deserves a strong committed leader who understands the
issues affecting us. I have provided that kind of leadership - every day - since I took office.
I am excited about standing for reelection and to continue to serve you and the citizens of
Deltona, DeBary, Enterprise, Osteen and all of Volusia County.
